Appointments

How to make an appointment?

You can make an appointment via the following ways:

Urgent Appointments

Urgent appointments may be booked by contacting reception at either our Kidlington or Yarnton Surgery. Urgent same day appointments are by telephone initially, but if a clinician thinks you need to be seen they will ask you to come into the surgery.

To allow us to run an efficient urgent care system, patients will be asked to attend the Kidlington Surgery for their appointment, as this is where are duty team is based.

When you phone reception to request an urgent appointment you will be asked to provide a little information about why you need to a see a doctor or nurse. This allows our receptionists to make sure your problem is dealt with by the most appropriate person in a timely manner. All our admin team are trained in privacy and confidentiality, but if you prefer not to provide any details this will be respected.

General Information

Although it is helpful to see the same doctor for one episode of an illness, all patients may book an appointment with any of our doctors. Each patient does have a named accountable GP who is responsible for co-ordinating their care but it is not necessary to only consult that doctor.

When you arrive for your appointment please use the automatic arrivals system or check in with the receptionist.

Appointment Cancellations

If you are unable to attend your appointment or no longer require this please contact us to cancel. Your appointment can then be used by another patient.
